NT Severe Thunderstorm Warning: Damaging Winds

The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 11:30 pm, potential severe thunderstorms were detected on weather radar near Dundee Beach, Dundee Downs, Acacia Hills and Darwin River Dam. These thunderstorms are moving towards the northwest. They are forecast to affect Humpty Doo, Channel Island, Berry Springs and Noonamah by 12:00 am and Darwin City, the Northern Suburbs, Palmerston and Mandorah by 12:30 am.
Damaging winds are likely.
The Northern Territory Emergency Service advises that people should: * secure loose outside objects; * avoid remaining in the open when storms threaten.
